Welcome to GMonoBass

GMonoBass is designed to centre the bass component of a track while keeping the stereo image of the higher frequencies.

Interface

The user interface is very simple, with only two controls.

Below: This setting controls the cross-over frequency, below which the stero image can be narrowed with the "width" control.

Width: This setting controls the stereo width of the "bass" component in the audio.

Stereo width is reduced by effectively moving the left/right parts of the sound towards the centre.

Hints and ideas

• It can be challenging to create a mix with some sources when the bass is off-centre.
• GMonoBass can help with situations like this by reducing the width of a specific part of the frequency spectrum while retaining or boosting the stereo effect in other areas.
